QS Fashion is the trading name of Quality Service (NW) Ltd. We are a small to medium size business which was originally started in 1968 by Mr G.L.E. Yates (Les), on various markets stalls in the Manchester and Bolton area. In the early 90's a considerable expansion of the business took place with the purchase of the Blackburn store. Since then two more large stores have been opened, one in Sale and one in Chorley. Whilst Les is still very active in the business, his son Simon Yates is now the managing director, Les and his wife Alma are both directors of the company which became Limited in October 1999. The QS Fashion arm of the business is completely separate to the partnership side which is more concerned with property acquisition and property leasing. The most recent large acquisition is of a five storey cotton mill in Atherton called Ena Mill, which is currently undergoing extensive renovations and refurbishment.
